Decathlon: Newdick run adds points

New Zealand decathlete Brent Newdick has added 20 points to his personal best after scoring 7935 points at the world combined events challenge at Gotzis, Austria at the weekend.

Newdick, who finished 12th behind winner Brian Clay of the US, ran a personal best of four minutes, 29.54 seconds in the 1500m which contributed the most points to his new decathlon total.
