The New Zealand team's road rookies Shane Archbold and Aaron Gate finished the Ras cycling tour in Ireland in style, grabbing seventh and 11th placings respectively in a group sprint at the finish of yesterday's fifth and final stage. Teammates Marc Ryan and Wes Gough rolled in with the second bunch four minutes, 53 seconds behind.
Overall, Ryan was the leading New Zealander in the tour in 39th, 14min 23sec behind the winner Alexander Wetterhall of Sweden.
