The Auckland Marathon was held today in perfect, calm conditions.
Thousands or people took part in the event and the accompanying half-marathon, 10km race and 5km walk.
They crossed the Harbour Bridge from the North Shore and finished at Victoria Park.
Phil Costley's winning time in the men's marathon was 2 hours 22 minutes and 7 seconds.
He has won the marathon three times, but this was the first time he had competed in the event since the Harbour Bridge became part of the course in 2000.
