Beatrice Faumuina has finished fourth in the women's discus final at the world track and field championships in Helsinki.
Faumuina threw a best of 62.73 metres, which was her opening throw.
It is her best performance at the worlds since she won gold in 1997.
She was 46 centimetres away from winning the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, 800 metres runner Jason Stewart has missed out on the semi-finals by 0.19 seconds, running a time of 1 minute 50.35.
Also at the world championships, American Justin Gatlin has won the men's 200 metres final.
Gatlin clocked 20.04 seconds to beat home compatriots Wallace Spearmon, John Capel and Tyson Gay.
Gatlin also won the 100 metres earlier in the meet.
