Liu Xiang's 110m hurdles world record was ratified yesterday by the International Association of Athletics Federations. The Chinese athlete ran 12.88s at the Athletissima Grand Prix meet in Lausanne, Switzerland, on July 11. Liu broke the previous record of 12.91s he shared with Britain's Colin Jackson.
