Athletics: Willis breaks Walker's NZ record

New Zealand middle distance runner Nick Willis has overtaken John Walker, to become the fastest New Zealander.

He has broken Walker's 31-year-old New Zealand record in the 1500 metres at a Golden League meet in Paris.

Willis has finished 6th in the race in a time of 3 minutes 32.38, beating Walker's old mark of 3 minutes 32.4 which has stood since the 1974 Commonwealth Games.
