Jetlag has failed to take hold of Tom Walsh as he settles into Portland ahead of the World Indoor track and field Championships in Portland this weekend.
The Kiwi shotputter joined his other teammates who have arrived in training at the venue for the champs.
He says he threw further than he thought he would after 24 hours off the plane.
Walsh won bronze two years ago in Poland but was forced to miss an event in Christchurch a month ago with a hip complaint.
He says he is in top shape now though.
