World shot put champion Valerie Vili has won the Australian championship in Brisbane with a distance of 19.54 metres, 2.48 metres ahead of second place but a metre short of her best.
Vili opened with 19.30 metres and her winning effort came in the final round.pepeStuart Farquhar qualified for the final of the javelin finishing fourth in the preliminaries with 72.44 metres.
