World shot put champion Valerie Vili will have her first competition in New Zealand since winning the world title in Osaka in August, at the John Walker night of miles meeting at Mt Smart Stadium tomorrow night.
Vili will be using the outing to see where her training is at leading into next month's Australian Grand Prix circuit. "No big deal, just a blow out before Christmas," said Vili, who leads this year's world rankings with her gold medal effort in Osaka of 20.54m.
The shot put is scheduled for 7pm.
