Commonwealth Games shotput champion Valerie Vili has resumed training after a successful operation to shave bone from her throwing shoulder.
Vili, recently ranked world No 1 by the authoritative American Track and Field magazine, said she remained focused on peaking for August's world championships in Japan.
The 22-year-old said she hoped she could compete at the New Zealand track and field championships in Taranaki on March 2-4.
