Athletics: Vili asserts dominance in Brisbane

Beijing Olympic gold medalist Valerie Vili has easily won the shot put at the Australian championships in Brisbane.

Vili heaved 20.22 metres in the opening round and was never headed.

Vili's distance was some three metres further than her nearest rival, Ana Pou'hila of Tonga, who was second with 16.94 metres.
