World and Olympic shot put champion Valerie Adams has reportedly been shortlisted for the World Athlete of the Year award.
The international athletics federation has recognised the New Zealander's feats following her unbeaten season, reports Newstalk ZB.
Adams is one of 10 female candidates in the running for the accolade, while the men's list is headed by Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.
The winners will be announced on November 12.
