Athletics: Usain Bolt anchors Jamaican 4x100 to victory

Usain Bolt has anchored the Jamaican 4x100 metre relay team to victory in its heat to set up his farewell race at the World Athletics Championships in London.

The decorated sprinter will appear for the last time at a major championships in the final at 8:50 this morning New Zealand time.

Bolt told the BBC post-race that, "I enjoy relays more than anything."

When asked on his thoughts about his final race before retirement he responded.

"We'll see what happens. It's hard to be sad, the energy, the vibe here, it's been brilliant."

Usain Bolt finished third in the 100 metres final earlier in the World Champs, in what was his final individual race.

Jamaica clocked the third quickest time in the heats, behind the USA and Great Britain.

The USA set a world leading time as Christian Coleman finished off the hard work of Mike Rodgers, Justin Gatlin and BeeJay Lee to cross the line in 37.70 seconds.

Jamaica's team consisted of Tyquendo Tracey, Julian Forte, Michael Campbell and Usain Bolt.

Yohan Blake is still doubtful to run for Jamaica in the final as he struggles with injury.
