New Zealand's top javelin thrower continues to make steady steps towards reaching an elusive milestone.
Ben Langton-Burnell will compete at the Cook's Classic in Whanganui today where he hopes to reach the eighty metre mark.
Langton-Burnell's current personal best is seventy-nine point eight metres, a distance he threw less than a month ago.
Langton-Burnell says he's ready to eclipse the mark.
He says if you're off on timing you can throw up to ten metres difference just by making a small tweak, so he's confident he'll hit the eighty metre mark soon.
