World champion shot putter Tom Walsh has struggled into fifth at the Diamond League athletics meet in Monaco.
Walsh finished with a best throw of 21.49m, 1.18m outside his personal best. After three throws of the six, he sat in seventh before pushing briefly into the lead.
American Ryan Crouser won the event with a throw of 22.05m.
Earlier, Dame Valerie Adams finished fourth with a season's best effort of 19.31 metres on her penultimate throw. However it wasn't enough to crack the podium with Germany's Christina Schwanitz 20cm better in third.
China's Lijiao Gong won with a final round throw of 20.31m.
