Commonwealth Games shot put champion Tom Walsh has tasted defeat for the first time this year finishing second at the Drake Relays Des Moines.
Walsh finished behind Olympic gold medallist Ryan Crouser.
The American threw 22.01m in his season's debut. Walsh reached 21.82m in the second round. Curtis Jensen was third with 21.18m.
"I felt like I couldn't quite line it up today, and it was slightly frustrating, but it was definitely a good competition for me," Walsh said.
