Olympic and three-times world shot put champion Valerie Adams finished the season with another victory and extended her unbeaten run to 16 competitions in Bad Kostritz, Germany overnight.
The Kiwi won in wet conditions with a throw of 20.59 metres and although the competition at the Werfertag throws-only meeting was affected by rain, it didn't stop Adams coming up with her fourth biggest throw of the season, well clear of her opposition.
Adams hasn't lost since August 22 last year; although her longest unbeaten run was 28 competitions, from December 2007-March 2010.
Adams said it was a great way to finish the year.
