Glasgow Commonwealth Games athletes Zane and Jake Robertson and Nikki Hamblin will lead New Zealand's challenge at the Chiba Ekiden International Relay in Japan on November 24.
The team of six, and two travelling reserves, will race in a relay over the marathon distance, each covering either 5km, 10km or the final 7.195km.
Last year Glasgow bronze medallist Zane Robertson ran 28min04s for 10km, a race record for the third leg and equalled the national 10km record.
Also included in the team are Camille Buscomb, a member of New Zealand Chiba team in 2012 and the current New Zealand cross country and road champion, and world junior championship steeplechase representative Rosa Flanagan.
New Zealand team:
Men: Jake Robertson (5km, Hamilton City Hawks), Callan Moody (10km, New Brighton Olympic), Zane Robertson (10km, Hamilton City). Reserve: Daniel Balchin (New Brighton).
Women: Nikki Hamblin (5km, North Harbour Bays), Rosa Flanagan (5km, University of Canterbury), Camille Buscomb (7.195km, Hamilton City). Reserve: Gabrielle Gray (University of Canterbury).
