Athletics: McIlroy in Auckland road race

World mountain running champion Kate McIlroy, of Wellington, will race over the roads of Bucklands Beach and Pakuranga this Sunday morning.

McIlroy will be competing in the annual Sir Barry Curtis 10km road race from Musick Point to Lloyd Elsmore Park.

Dale Warrander of Tauranga, last year's winner, heads the men's field.
