Nick Willis is a strong chance to complete New Zealand's medal haul at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Portland today.
The Kiwi middle distance runner will line-up in the 1500 metre final after finishing sixth in his heat.
Athletics New Zealand projected winning three medals at the meet with shot putters Tom Walsh and Valerie Adams winning gold and bronze respectively.
High Performance Director Scott Goodman says it's always hard to tell if Willis is preparing well.
He says he functions a bit differently, but always gets involved with the rest of the team.
