Russian Svetlana Khorkina lived up to her reputation as the diva of gymnastics with a historic gold medal-winning performance in the women's all-round competition at the world championships at Anaheim, California.
The two-time defending champion was reduced to tears after she learned she had become the first man or woman to secure three world titles in the all-round event.
"It was very important for me to win again because this is my last world championships," she said.
