Four athletes have been confirmed for this year's Olympics with a handful of others expected to join the team in London.
Valerie Adams (shot put), Nick Willis (1500m), Stuart Farquhar (javelin) and Kim Smith (marathon) have won their tickets to London but they should be joined by Quentin Rew, who met the A qualifying standard in the 50km walk in competition in Slovenia overnight (NZT). His nomination should be confirmed later this week.
Nikki Hamblin (1500m) and Adrian Blincoe (5000m) have met the qualifying standards but both have been battling injuries and need to prove their form to the selectors.
Jacko Gill (shoot put) and Brent Newdick have met the New Zealand qualifying standards and are also expected to compete in London.
