New Zealand javelin thrower Stuart Farquhar is struggling with the way he has to go about business in an Olympic year.
Farquhar goes into tonight's Auckland Track Challenge still yet to hit the Olympic qualifying standard for the Rio Games.
He says his drive is down as competing against a distance rather than your fellow competitors is tough.
Farquhar says it's annoying when conditions aren't right and you're constantly missing out on the mark, but understands he has to be patient.
Other Kiwi athletes in action tonight include shot putters Valerie Adams and Tom Walsh, pole vaulter Eliza McCartney and middle distance runner Angie Petty.
