New Zealand javelin thrower Stuart Farquhar has finished fourth in the latest world Diamond League athletics round at Birmingham, England, overnight.
Farquhar, seeking to meet the Olympics qualifying standard of 81.80m fell short in damp conditions with a best throw of 81.47m. He was 54cm off bronze medal winner, Jarrod Bannister of Australia.
Norway's Andreas Thorkildsen overwhelmed the field with a distance of 88.30m.
In the 800m, New Zealand's Nick Willis finished sixth in a time of one minute, 46.89sec.
On Saturday, Willis had qualified for the 1500m in next month's world championships in Korea after clocking 3min 33.22sec - his best time since 2006 - at the Diamond League round in Paris.
Fellow New Zealander Adrian Blincoe did not finish the 5000m in Birmingham.
