Eliza McCartney looks to have passed her pre-world championship fitness test.
The Olympic bronze medallist has won the women's pole vault at a meeting in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium this morning, after more than a month out of competition with Achilles tendonitis.
McCartney attempted 10 vaults, failing at 4.71m after clearing 4.61m.
The 20-year-old won comfortably ahead of Ukraine's Maryna Kylypko (4.51m). Australia's Liz Parnov and China's Xu Huiquin tied for third on 4.41m.
The world athletics championships start in London in under a fortnight, with women's pole vault qualification on the first day of competition.
