Top New Zealand sprinter Chris Donaldson believes he can break his national 200m record of 20.42 seconds before the world athletics championships in Seville next month.
Donaldson is competing in races in Europe to sharpen up for the world event, starting in Spain on August 20.
He was second in the Belgian championships 100m last weekend, clocking 10.18 seconds, 0.1sec outside his personal best.
However, it is the 200m he is building up for and he will compete in that event in a Grand Prix meeting in Barcelona on July 29.
