The daughter of New Zealand Olympic and Commonwealth Games marathon runner Liza Hunter-Galvan remains in a coma after a road accident involving the family in the United States.
Amber Hunter-Galvan, 11, and her family were involved in the accident returning to their home in San Antonio from a race in Texas a week ago. It is believed a truck crossed lanes and hit their car side on, flipping it into a ditch.
Liza Hunter-Galvan, her husband Ariel, their son and three daughters were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from cuts to concussion.
They were discharged a few days later, except for the eldest daughter Amber, who suffered a serious head injury.
