Otago athlete Shireen Crumpton collected her third national women's 10,000m title in Inglewood on Saturday. Crumpton clocked 34 minutes 44.04 seconds to cross the line 42sec clear of Waimea's Belinda Wimmer. Rowan Hooper won his first national men's title with a time of 30min 31.08sec, beating fellow Cantabrian Andrew Davidson by 12sec. Jason Cressingham of Taranaki was third in 32min 13.30sec. Tony Payne of Otago upstaged Hastings' Eric Speakman in the junior race, winning in 32min 28.94sec.
