New Zealand runner Gareth Hyett maintained his unbeaten record both sides of the Tasman this season, winning the 1500 metres at the Australian A-series meeting in Sydney on the weekend.
Hyett ran a personal best three minutes 40.50 seconds to beat Bradley Woods of New South Wales, who recorded 3min 41.09sec.
Tokoroa's Monique Williams won the 200m in a personal best 23.51sec.
The time was under the world university games standard of 23.54sec, qualifying Williams for selection for Thailand in early August.
The New Zealand men's 4x100m relay team -- Craig Bearda, James Dolphin, Matt Brown and Chris Donaldson -- beat an Australian squad in a photo finish, with both timing 39.47sec.
Andrea Miller went under the New Zealand national 100m hurdles record when she finished third but her 13.16sec was wind-assisted.
Miller was also in the 4x100m relay with Williams, Chantal Brunner and April Brough finishing third in 45.10sec.
James Mortimer took third in the 110m hurdles, recording 14.08sec.
Jessica Ruthe was second in the 3000m in 9min 08.39sec.
Former top Canterbury junior Jason Woolhouse was fourth in the men's 3000m in 7min 53.97sec.
Twice World Cup champion Craig Mottram of Australia won in 7min 42.00sec.
Dolphin came ran third in the 200m, in 20.87sec.
