Tom Walsh has scored another shot put podium finish overnight, finishing third at the ISTAF Berlin World Challenge.
Walsh's best effort on a very consistent series was 20.77. Four of his throws were over 20.65.
The competition was won by German hero David Storl with 21.41 from Ryan Whiting (USA) on 21.06.
Since Walsh broke the New Zealand record of 20.38 belonging to Jacko Gill in December last year, he has exceeded that distance in thirteen competitions.
Meanwhile, Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Zane Robertson finished seventh in the 5000m at the same meeting in 13:14.69, just 0.86 outside his best for the distance. The race was won by Augustine Choge (KEN) in 13:06.12 from American Bernard Lagat in 13:06.68.
