KEY POINTS:
American Kevin Ankrom has been appointed high-performance director of Athletics New Zealand, succeeding Eric Hollingsworth.
Ankrom, who will start on April 30, arrives from Hong Kong, where he was department head for the Hong Kong Sports Institute international high-performance elite training centre.
He has also been Hong Kong's national track and field team head coach since 2003.
