New Zealand athlete Michael Aish broke an African blockade to finish 10th in the Philadelphia Distance Run yesterday.
Aish, eliminated in the 5000m heats at the Athens Olympics, was the only non-African among the leading 17 finishers.
He completed the 21.1km course in 1h 3m 24s - 51s behind the winner, Gudisa Shentema, of Ethiopia.
