New Zealand's Olympic champion shot putter Val Adams has crushed her rivals at the Sydney Track Classic.
Adams fell just 2cm short of her own meet record when recording a best throw of 20.55m to win the event last night.
She was a class apart from the competition, with her shortest throw of 19.95m more than 4m better than the next best throw, registered by Samoa's Margaret Satupai, who finished second.
Adams exceeded 20m with five of her six throws, and her best came with her sixth and penultimate effort.
That represented the 26-year-old's best performance since she threw 20.49m at the world indoor championships at Doha, Qatar, a year ago.
