ASB Classic behind the scenes: Jack Sock

World No 26 Jack Sock is coming off his best ever season on the tennis circuit – but says he gained a fresh perspective on the sport after his brother almost died last year. The 23-year-old American, making his second appearance in Auckland after reaching the quarter finals in 2014, explains to the Herald's Michael Burgess how his brothers' fight against a life threatening illness inspired him to new heights on the court. Sock also talks about his incredible high school record - he didn't lose a single match in four years – and his love for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. The American also discusses his close friendship with John Isner, his unusual nicknames and his hometown of Nebraska, also the birthplace of former world No1 Andy Roddick.
