New Zealand swimmer Melissa Ingram completed her record breaking performances at the Queensland state championships in Brisbane last night.
Ingram, 24, of North Shore, broke her own national in the women's 200m backstroke final.
She finished a close second to Queensland's Meagen Nay in a time of two minutes 9.14 seconds, 2/10ths inside her previous national record and more than 2sec inside the time set for qualification for next year's Commonwealth Games.
This follows her New Zealand records earlier in the meet in the 200m and 400m freestyle.
Jessie Blundell finished third in the final in 2min 11.42sec with North Shore teammates Penny Marshall fourth in 2min 12.65sec.
Beijing Olympian Daniel Bell won the men's 200m backstroke in 1min 59.65sec, his first time under the 2min barrier and only fractionally outside the mark for next year's Games at New Delhi while Cameron Stanley was fourth.
Wellington's Tash Hind produced a superb time of 55.49sec to finish third behind Australian Olympic gold medallists Emily Seebohn and Cate Campbell in the final of the 100m freestyle.
Earlier, North Shore's Andrew McMillan won the men's 100m freestyle in a personal best of 50.12sec with Michael Jack, of West Auckland, third in 50.24sec.
Swimming New Zealand's Jan Cameron said she was pleased with her team's efforts in Brisbane.
"We have put in place the opportunity and recommended to our swimmers that they need to get to Australia to race more often in long course events where they are challenged," Cameron said.
"That was definitely the case here with over 2000 swimmers and with only three-non Queenslanders allowed to make the finals, it meant our swimmers had to go max in the morning to make a final.
"There were nine federations racing here so our swimmers got what they wanted which was tough, competitive racing."
