Cricket star Shane Warne has been caught out again, with reports he sent more than 100 racy texts to a married Australian businesswoman - at the same time he was wooing actress Elizabeth Hurley.
Hurley - apparently incensed about the revelations - has reportedly ended her relationship with Warne, leaving the Australian sporting star shattered.
He had told friends he wanted to marry Hurley.
The News of the World revealed yesterday that Warne, 41, had sent more than 100 sexually charged texts to Melbourne woman Adele Angeleri, after she had approached him with an advertising proposal for her leather goods business.
They swapped numbers but Warne allegedly began sending the 40-year-old increasingly suggestive messages, including that she made him "horny".
Mrs Angeleri's husband Denis discovered the texts and angrily confronted Warne on the phone.
Warne tried to fob the husband off, saying there were not that many, the News of the World reported.
"He is only interested in his d***," the News of the World quoted Denis as saying.
"As a person that has a wife who was pursued by him at the same time as Liz, I can tell you that it is hard to be a fan when you see the texts and how he works."
Knowing he was rumbled, the newspaper reported that Warne posted on Twitter: "We are all childish, immature at times."
The Daily Mail reported that Hurley also posted a message on Twitter in which she compared the situation to The Jerry Springer Show. Hurley, 45, wrote: "Er ... please take any mentions of me in the latest thrilling instalment of the Jerry Springer-esque saga with a LARGE pinch of salt."
The Daily Mail said Mrs Angeleri insisted the relationship never developed further than the exchange of texts and said she never met Warne, who is separated from wife Simone.
