Pittsburgh Steelers' National Football League Hall of Fame centre Mike Webster, the unbendable core of the team's Super Bowl championship teams, died today of a heart attack. He was 50.
A fifth-round pick of the Steelers in 1974, Webster was considered by some to be the greatest draft in NFL history. He went on to become a nine-time All-Pro and captained the Steelers to four Super Bowl titles.
Webster was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1997.
