American football: Colts bring down Chiefs

Joseph Addai rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown to lead the Indianapolis Colts to a 23-8 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League's first wildcard game yesterday.

The Chiefs did not have a first down in the first half against the Colts' stingy defence, as Indianapolis overcame three Peyton Manning interceptions to move into the second round of the playoffs against Baltimore Ravens. The Colts have had problems stopping opponents' running games, but they stifled Chiefs running back Larry Johnson.
