'Amazing' field lining up for yacht race

The best race ever is what some people in yachting circles are predicting for the 65th Sydney to Hobart yacht race, starting this afternoon

Watch captain on board New Zealand maxi Investec Loyal, Ross Field, says the field is amazing. He says as far as the super-maxis go it will be the best race in the event's history.

Investec Loyal, formerly Maximus, has a host of stars on board including Wallabies player Phil Waugh and Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Grant Hackett.

Four time champion Wild Oats and Alfa Romeo, are also among the race favourites.
