Aaron Smith's disabled bathroom antics at Christchurch airport have made a British newspapers list for the sporting 'anti-heroes' of 2016.
Ahead of the pretigious BBC's Sports Personality of the Year on Monday, the Guardian newspaper has named their Anti-Sports Personality nominees.
The list features the likes of disgraced American swimmer Ryan Lochte who was caught lying about an armed hold-up during the Rio Olympics, a group of footballers from MK Dons who poured urine on fans at a horse racing event, a tennis umpire who refused to let a player take a bathroom break and a British gymnast who mocked Muslims.
Smith also made the list after a member of the public filmed him entering a disabled toilet at Christchurch airport with a female friend following the All Blacks' Rugby Championship victory over South Africa in September.
Smith was stood down for one test by the All Blacks three weeks later when the side was in Durban. He apologised saying he made "a huge mistake" and decided to leave the squad and head back to New Zealand.
