Ali Williams' first job since retiring from rugby will be as a media adviser for his former All Blacks teammate Dan Carter.
Carter is due to line up for his new club against Northampton in the European Rugby Champions Cup but, with off-field requests aparently overwhelming, Racing have hired Williams to look after the first-five. Williams finished his playing career with Toulon last season.
"Given his experience, his main mission will be to advise and help manage the many demands of Dan Carter, including the media," said Racing on the club's website, with Williams starting work on Saturday. "Mr Williams will also conduct commercial relations operations for an investment account."
The media demands on Carter since his arrival in Paris a couple of week ago have been extensive and the recruitment of Williams is designed to cut down on the distractions when he starts playing.
