New Zealand team Pharmanex and top Finnish racers Nokia are zeroing in on the finish of the Discovery Channel world championship adventure race in Switzerland.
The two leading teams were yesterday trekking their way across the Kanderfirn Glacier on day four of the 420km race, which started in St Moritz on Monday.
Pharmanex, who include Nathan Fa'avae and Kathy Lynch, of Nelson, as well as Jeff Mitchell, of Christchurch and Whakatane's Neil Jones, were leading Nokia by just over an hour. United States teams Pearl Izumi/Seal Skinz and Eco-Internet were lying third and fourth respectively, just over three hours behind Pharmanex. The leading teams were expected to finish early today.
