WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) Uncapped opening batsman Anton Devcich has been named in the New Zealand one-day cricket team to play in Bangladesh in late October and November.
The 25-year-old left-hander recently toured India with the New Zealand "A'' team, where he scored 115 in a four-day match against India "A'' and 48 and 66 in one-day matches.
New Zealand will play Bangladesh in one-day internationals at Dhaka on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, at Fatullah on Nov. 4 and Sylhet on Nov. 6.
Selection manager Bruce Edgar said Devcich was an opening batsman who "is also an outstanding fielder with the ability to contribute as a left arm spin bowling option which will be useful in the sub-continent."
Fast bowler Adam Milne returns to the New Zealand team which will play one Twenty20 international against Bangladesh.
