Entries to the 2024 Deloitte Fast 50 are now open.
The Deloitte Fast 50, an index that ranks and celebrates New Zealand’s fastest growing companies, is back for 2024. Now in its 24th year, the programme celebrates the success of businesspeople and entrepreneurs who continue to innovate and grow in an ever-evolving market.
In what promises to be an exciting year for global sport, this year’s theme, ‘Get set grow: the future favours the fast’, celebrates Kiwi innovators who continuously push boundaries and raise the bar, mirroring the determination of their equally determined counterparts in high performance sport.
Deloitte Private Partner, James Arlidge, no stranger to the world of sport himself after representing the Blues and Highlanders in Super Rugby and Japan internationally, says: “in my work with private businesses, I often find myself taking note of the similarities between the hustle to be the first, the fastest or the best athlete and the breakneck nature of entrepreneurial business growth.
“These companies are setting the pace in New Zealand, driving growth at record-setting speeds, and competing not only against their peers but against themselves. The Fast 50 programme sets out to acknowledge the huge amount of work behind this and to give them a way to celebrate their successes.”
Deloitte’s Fast 50 programme has long been a benchmark of commercial success and a showcase of entrepreneurial spirit. It is made up of two indices, the Fast 50 index that acknowledges significant growth over a three-year period, and the Master of Growth index that puts a spotlight on established businesses who have experienced sustained growth over a longer term. The indices, both determined by revenue growth percentage, are a showcase of the innovators and entrepreneurs who are setting the pace for Kiwi business.
“The longevity of the programme, celebrating its 24th year in 2024, is a testament to the calibre of New Zealand’s business community. We’re excited to welcome a new cohort to the Fast 50 ranks this year, joining some of New Zealand’s most loved and successful names,” says Arlidge.
Previous Fast 50 businesses can be found in all types of industries, from digital collectibles and prepared meals to beverage coolers and electricity providers. With Fast 50 alumni including the likes of Edwards & Co., Pals and My Food Bag, many Fast 50 businesses have gone on to become some of New Zealand’s most iconic businesses and greatest success stories.
