A trio of large retail showroom premises, showcasing products ranging from dining room suites, kitchen flooring, and bedside cabinets through to car seat covers and engine spark plugs, has been placed on the market for sale.
The portfolio of properties is spread across Auckland from the west to the east — reflecting the city's broad retail landscape.
All three locations are being sold by Bayleys Real Estate — with just the land and buildings on offer in all instances — and all feature in Bayleys' just-released Total Property portfolio magazine.
Heading up the retail collection of properties up for sale is the land and buildings housing the Supercheap Auto's West Auckland operations at Unit A1 in Henderson's Lincoln North Shopping centre.
The 755.89sq m warehouse-style tools and automotive parts showroom has a new building standard rating of 100 per cent.
Supercheap Auto is on a seven-year lease running through until 2023 with a further five-year right of renewal, generating $225,221 annually plus GST.
The Supercheap Auto property is being marketed for sale by auction at 11am on October 24.
Bayleys Auckland salespeople Matt Lee, Quinn Ngo and James Chan said Supercheap Auto has occupied the site for eight years — taking particular advantage of the high motor vehicle traffic volumes travelling along adjacent Lincoln Rd daily.
"The property has undergone a modernisation programme which was completed at the beginning of the year.
"It is now a modern retail bulk retail premises," Chan says.
He says other high-profile retailers within the fully occupied Lincoln North Shopping Centre include KFC, Pizza Hut, the ANZ, the BNZ, Westpac and NZ Post.
Elsewhere in Auckland, the Parnell land and building which is home to floor and wall tile retailer The Tile People, which occupies a 139sq m space, is for sale.
The two-year lease runs through until 2019 with a further two-year right of renewal and generates $42,000 net annually plus GST.
This property is also being marketed for sale at auction at 11am on October 24.
Bayleys Auckland salesperson Millie Liang says The Tile People showroom sits on 175sq m of land which is zoned Business Town Centre under the Auckland Unitary Plan and comes with one designated car park outside its front doors.
"The property has been renovated to a high standard within the past few years and now features open plan showroom space along with staff kitchenette and toilet amenities," Liang says.
Rounding out the trio of offerings is a 113sq m home fittings showroom at 471 Mt Eden Rd on the edge of Mt Eden Village.
The building houses the display room of New Zealand-made furniture retailer Black Dog Furniture.
The property — which sits on the apex with Fairview Rd — also has car parking spaces for six vehicles.
The freehold property sits on 273sq m zoned Business Mixed Use, and is being marketed by deadline private treaty, closing at 2pm on October 25. Salespeople Tony Chaudhary, Amy Weng and Phil Haydock say Black Dog Furniture is on a periodic lease.
"Being so close to Mt Eden Village and on a flat site, the corner site property has several future redevelopment options — including the potential to construct a new residential and retail mixed-used premises," Chaudhary says.
