Following the completion of extension, The Warehouse is selling off surplus land which is consented for large format retail on its high profile site in Rangiora, North Canterbury.
The store has been long established on the corner of High Street and East Belt, and in 2014 bought an adjacent property from Mainpower so that it could expand in the North Canterbury town. Subsequently 1835sq m of retail space was added including a new garden centre.
Noel Gilchrist and Philip Cooper of Colliers International are marketing the now excess land by deadline private treaty, closing August 11 on behalf of project lead Eldamos Investments Ltd.
"The Warehouse has now completed its project so has no need for the additional land, which totals 11,906sq m in six titles," Gilchrist said. "It wants to see an integrated style development with easy parking and access for all retailers on the site. Zoned Business 2, this land will suit large format retailers who will benefit from being near The Warehouse."
Cooper says the value of the land has been enhanced because The Warehouse already has resource consent for an additional 2143sq m of large format retail on the land for sale.
