Trudy Hunter's teenage children weren't very impressed when they learned their family home was going on the market. Twins Aleisha and Nicolas have only lived in the house for a year but they love it, and it will be tough to leave.
"We're not too popular," says Trudy, who explains that she and husband Ray are selling the house to take advantage of business opportunities. "It is going to be a shame to leave because it is such a great family home. It has everything we need."
The spacious house has been divided into "theirs and ours" zones. Trudy and Ray took over the downstairs area, which consists of a large living room with small kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and study area. Meanwhile the twins, who are 18, have the run of upstairs, although Trudy and Ray use the kitchen and living spaces on the upper level, too.
"It's been really useful when the kids have their friends over and they can just do their own thing," she says. "We're not on top of each other - everyone can be in a different part of the house."
