A versatile warehouse and office building on 2000sq m of land in East Tamaki, which in recent years has been used as an outlet store by NZX listed retailer Pumpkin Patch, is up for sale offering a wide range of options for its next owner.

The 718sq m building, at 441 East Tamaki Rd, and the land surrounding it is being put up for sale with vacant possession by Pumpkin Patch, which has a distribution centre next door.

It is being marketed by Marty Roestenburg, of Bayleys South Auckland, and is among a wide range of properties that will go up for auction on April 13, unless sold prior, as part of Bayleys' first Total Property portfolio for 2016.

Originally built in 1998, it comprises 548sq m of workshop and warehouse space and a 170sq m mezzanine office area.

The building was modified in 2008 by Pumpkin Patch for use as a retail outlet store.

The 8.5 metre high building has been solidly constructed with a mixture of concrete tilt panels, concrete block and steel cladding.

"The building offers clear span, high stud warehouse space with extensive glazing providing good natural light and two motorised, container-height roller doors facilitating easy access to the ground floor," Roestenburg says

The mezzanine office area, currently used as a staff gymnasium, is open plan with access via stairs from the northeastern corner of the building.

"It could also be accessed via a concrete ramp from the ground floor which is currently closed off. The ground floor area is mostly open space with a partitioned area containing a small office, kitchenette and two toilets.

The freehold site is fully landscaped and tar sealed and has 25 car parks. The bulk of the property is rectangular in shape, with a triangular shaped yard area to the rear, and it has approximately 52.5 metres of frontage to East Tamaki Rd, says Roestenburg.
