Commercial property specialist JLL is seeking tenants for a retail development in the booming Westgate precinct.
The development at 559-577 Don Buck Rd has retail units for lease ranging from 73.6 to 103.3sq m.
Many successful national retailers are nearby including KFC, Subway and Burger Fuel next door.
A childcare centre and Lone Star restaurant have already taken space in the Don Buck Rd development, meaning tenants will benefit from plenty of foot traffic, day and night.
JLL's national director of retail sales and leasing, Chris Beasleigh, says interested parties should get in quick to be part of this development.
"It's an area experiencing huge growth, which will only become easier to get to for even more Aucklanders when the Waterview Connection is completed in 2017," Beasleigh says.
The Westgate Town Centre development is rapidly becoming one of the biggest mixed use developments in New Zealand. It will effectively be a regional centre with an enclosed mall as well as a library, bulk retail and trade retail areas.
Auckland Council's $1 billion Northwest Transformation Project includes the development of Westgate, a new village centre and employment park at Hobsonville, and the creation of the community and Marine Industry Precinct at Hobsonville Point. As the project progresses, Auckland Council estimates an extra 5500 new homes will be built, bringing more shoppers into Westgate's catchment area.
JLL retail leasing agent Ranesh Parmar says the development will be available in mid-September and prospective tenants should get in touch quickly.
"We have had great success with developments that feature childcare centres and food and beverage operators and we're confident Don Buck Rd will be just as successful," he says.
