"We chose Remarkables Park because it's zoned to be the district's largest town centre and it's close to many of Queenstown's popular visitor experiences like skiing, golfing and wineries along with the unrivalled alpine views. It's also just few minutes from the airport."
He says final works are advancing rapidly on-site and interior fit-out is underway.
The four-storey corporate and leisure hotel will offer a total of 72 beds and 56 car parks - of which 33 spaces are underground.
Guests will be able to choose from 28 well-appointed studio suites; 20 one-bedroom suites; nine two-bedroom suites; and two 3-bedroom king apartments - all with ensuite bathrooms, full kitchens and laundry facilities.
Alastair Porter, CEO of Remarkables Park Limited, says the pending opening of the new Ramada hotel will mark another milestone for the 150ha master-planned resort and town centre development overlooking the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers.
"In such a strong visitor economy, the new hotel will help to meet the rapidly growing need for more visitor accommodation in Queenstown," he says.
"Interest in this location continues from other hotel brands too. We look forward to being able to offer potential guests a range of three-star to six-star hotels within the Remarkables Park Town Centre - including High Street - along with resort hotel locations featuring water and mountain views."
The new hotel is part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company with more than 7800 hotels across 72 countries.
Roger Taitt, Ramada New Zealand's sales and marketing manager, says he's delighted to see the Ramada brand return to Queenstown.
"As part of our commitment to quality and value-conscious accommodation, Ramada Hotel & Suites Remarkables Park will continue our brand's theme of contemporary and comfortable design with 100 per cent free and unlimited fibre Wi-Fi access, which we know resonates well with today's leisure and corporate travellers."
Taitt says other hotel features will include ski gear storage room, complimentary parking, LCD TV + SKY channels, washing machine and dryer room and free booking cancellations and amendments.
The hotel's ground floor retail and food and beverage outlets will add to existing shopping and dining options now available in the wider Remarkables Park Town Centre.
Longer term plans for Remarkables Park include a gondola and conferencing venues with the development fully zoned to more than double in size and provide more conferencing, resort, sport, recreation, residential and educational facilities.
